Kingston Museum is a small but buzzing museum, which was custom built in 1904. The Museum has three permanent exhibitions: Ancient Origins, Town of Kings and Eadweard Muybridge, local pioneer photographer. A varied programme of temporary exhibitions can be enjoyed in the Art Gallery. There is always something to do for all ages; lectures, workshops, trails, clubs and more. Welcome!

A great local museum with an international collection of Edward Muybridge early photographic material. Very welcoming and family friendly with an art gallery on the first floor. Well worth a visit if you are in Kingston.

Very small and disappointing museum. Was done in 10 minutes. There is sadly barely anything to see or to do. Although you can buy some lovely postcards. It's definitely an optimal place for primary school kids.

The museum, which is near the Fairfield, is abundant with local history. A good insight into the life and time of the area. Staff are very helpful

Great free local history museum with a good permanent collection. A great aviation heritage, Nipper the HMV dog buried there also interesting artefacts from Eadweard Mubridge the landscape photographer.

We have lived in Kingston for over 10 years before we finally got round to visiting our local museum. The museum is free to visit, its quite small but interesting in that it cover the local area.

Enjoyed the visuals and sounds of the museum. No one else there...what a pity! Good for me but not the museum staff. There were ancient relics and modern day fake watches seized by Customs and Excise... and everything in between. I loved the variety of...More

This is a very informative local museum about Kingston and the local area.Plus there is an exhibition gallery devoted to Edward Muybridge who was famous for his motion pictures which were the precursor of films.A rather pompous narrative does not detract from his photos including...More

Lovely local museum with lots of intereting exhibits. We spent an hour and a half in there while it was raining.
