Have been to the Rose twice in two weeks sitting on pit cushions, it isn't great for someone over 50 but you have a really good view and I can't afford £35 for a seat in the stalls. Sadly they are doing away with the...More

The Rose Theatre caffe is a great place to meet people for a conversation, a catch-up or space to focus on reading, writing or mulling over ideas. It is spacious, has good beverages at reasonable prices and is a firm favourite for escaping the rat...More

Have been a couple of times before, visited this time to see a show that had been recommended to us at Edinburgh but sold out. We got reasonably priced tickets, and were pleased with the seats - it was super busy getting in and out,...More

We went to see the Gruffallo's Child at the Rose, although we had seats in the back row we had a good view of the stage and getting in and out of the theatre was quite efficient.

Resembling a Elizabethan globe to echo the Rose of Shakespeare’s day, Kingston latterday Rose may posses more industrial design but keeps that intimacy that Will’s groundlings lapped up for a penny a show. A low stage wrapped by bench seating fortunately with ample room for...More

We attended a Rohl Dahl performance (George's Marvelous Medicine) a month ago and also enrolled our child on one of Rose's Theatre's drama/performing schools this holiday. Well run, plenty of information and knick knacks around the corridors, and the theatre facilities are good.

Went here to see our grandson graduate with a first class honours degree from Kingston University. Lovely venue, they did them all proud.

Wasn’t expecting much but it was an absolutely brilliant evening. The Rose is a brilliant theatre. It’s intimate but feels spacious. The leg room is excellent and the seats are comfy. We probably go at least every other month. Our next visit is Hogarths Progress...More

For one man shows stand up etc go with the stalls; for big band and big productions go for circle. Beware that they sometimes just put out cushions on the floor at the front and sell those as ‘seats’.

Yes. There is a lift for wheelchairs and very helpful staff to assist with correct route to cafe. (The lift is set back, so easier to ask those who know)
