Alice Holt is a lovely day out. Well worth the car park fee. Kids out in fresh air running around , playing and climbing. Just how summer holidays should be!!

I note that many people seem aggrieved at the parking charges. I live near another Forestry Commission venue (Westonbirt Arboretum) where the parking is free but admission is £8-9 per adult. Alice Holt Forest is free to get in, so while paying £5 for 2...More

This is a lovely place to visit with the children but the increase in car park charges is extortionate and made it unaffordable for many. Check the charges before you goMore

Gets crowded at weekend, but fabulous early morning. Dog walkers and runners out from 5am! Multiple we’ll sign posted paths, including child friendly trails New cafe - great sausage rolls. Park run Saturday morning

Had a great day here, with friends and 4 kids ranging from 10 to 17. Great areas to explore, good trails through the forest. Lovely cafe and park centre with good facilities. But the parking is absolutely extortionate, turned a family day out and picnic...More

Lovely place, wonderful varied woodland with many specimen trees including a grove of giant redwoods and an avenue of acers. Excellent dog walking and perfect for families, highly recommended.

Not sure exactly but I think it shuts fairly early evening like 4.30/5pm perhaps.
