We visited the Big Play Barn yesterday for the first time since lockdown. We were looking forward to it very much and had booked online 2 days before. However, when we got there we discovered that I had mistaken the day and we had been booked for the day before! They were fully booked and couldn’t let us in. My 4 year old grandson was distraught and burst into tears! We got in the car to go home, but within 5 minutes my phone rang. It was Steve from the Big Play Barn! The young man on reception had told him what had happen and he said he didn’t want anyone to go home disappointed! He offered us places at 4.00 that afternoon or another day if that wasn’t convenient - and we could stay as long as we liked. We went back at 4.00 and the children had a wonderful time! The Big Play Barn is a great place for children - something for all ages, clean, well managed and the food is good. I heartily recommend it as a place for post-lockdown children to let off some steam. Thank you to Steve and the staff for their wonderful customer care and for a most enjoyable afternoon.…

This is a great place for kids of all ages, the reason for the one star is the so called Manger/Owner is possibly the rudest men I have ever met who seriously need to rethink the way he speaks to customers!

Food a little expensive when you have 3 to buy for. Also the toilets could do with checking more often. We don't live far away so I think it's ideal.…

I have visited the play barn many times over the last few years with my grandchildren. Today's experience was the first, for this particular grandchild - he loved it .... and we would have spent more ... if the coffee had been better! Experience has told us that it's not good at all, we asked if they had updated the machines as it's been many months since our previous visit! The response was vague so we bought ONE coffee ..... it was awful! We left f]to get refreshments elsewhere. Big Playbarn - PLEASE invest in some quality coffee machines! People will buy more and stay longer!…
