What a beautiful, peaceful and welcoming Church this is. We visited at the end of a cold November day but it was pleasing to see the doors still open to visitors. The grounds are also very picturesque and lovely to walkaround.

We had a walk around the grounds first and looked at the history of the graves which was very interesting. The grounds have some seating so you can sit and take in the scenery. The church is old and has so much charm. Nice to...More

Beautiful, tranquil historic Church and grounds. My wife and I enjoyed a peaceful time in quiet contemplation. Well worth a visit whether you are a religious person or not.

We stayed at a lovely restaurant B&B The Plume of Feathers just outside Much Wenlock about 5 mins drive. We wanted an evening stroll and this fitted the bill. We meant to come back during the day as the coffee shops etc looked tantalising as...More

I loved the peacefulness of these church and the welcoming feel. The prayer board is an excellent idea - I felt I could say prayers for others as well as leaving my own. Very easy to get around the church and most definitely disabled friendly....More

As churches go, and I've visited a few, this one isn't anything special, but it is so well cared for, both inside and out, that it is worth paying a visit.

The church displays its history and sense of grandeur in a quiet and understated way. Elements of the church, the churchyard and the priory next door pre-date the reformation by several centuries. Much Wenlock is a town that easily takes one back a hundred years...More

Quite bare but really beautiful limestone church. Very tall ceilings, and windows were letting in lots of light on a bleak day. Tiles on the font unusual.

Some stained glass windows, although not as much as in other churches nearby. Some interesting memorials. Of main interest to me, though, were the mentioning of William Penny Brookes, the founder of the modern Olympics in Much Wenlock.
