This hidden gem is a magnificent hideaway on the wonderful Northumberland coast. Bounded by rugged countryside, the park’s central feature, the lake, is ideal for walking the dogs and relaxing away from the crowds.

Beautiful location and nice walk round the lake. Stupidly hot though it was. Plenty of benches to sit on and have pause. You need that at my age.

Not only can the dogs go on the beach, but if you’re lucky you’ll have miles of it all to yourself.

It’s a very popular open water swimming location. I haven’t observed divers, but can’t see why not! There is an information point in the at the toilets/cafe, staff there should be able to advise.
