Viewed from the riverside walk below, this is a very impressive structure indeed with many arches although geographically still in England. Scotland starts a mile up the road.

We visited Berwick on Tweed & sat by the river. Its a great view looking at the 3 bridges. This is the bridge that carries the trains.

We visited Berwick upon Tweed and took the opportunity to view the bridge. It is a great landmark and a great testament to when it was constructed, that it is still there and in constant use.

Going down to the river walk from the station via the lovely gardens. At the river turn right towards the Castle and the bridge. Fantastic piece of engineering.

this is an excellent bridge plus if you love swans they are plenty to be seen . the walk along the pathway is nice plenty of seating for the traveller to gaze at both of above

Crossing the Tweed, its powerful arches carrying the trains into Scotland, the Royal Borders Bridge is still a magnificent sight, so what it must have been like when irt built over 150 years ago defies belief.

We saw the bridge while visiting Berwick and it was great to physically see it rather than watch steam trains crossing it on video clips.
