Went to see a concert at the Alnwick Playhouse, venue lovely but the enjoyment of the concert spoilt by one authoritative member of staff, describing herself as the front of house, it took the enjoyment out of the concert for a large number of people...More

Went to see Dads Army show. It was brilliant, two blokes playing 25 roles, absolutely unbelievable, it was spell bounding. Again the staff at the playhouse, were brilliant from the ticket office, bar, and ushers. Thank you for a wonderful night out.

Pleasant theatre surroundings, friendly staff, and well maintained. Went to see A Feast of Fiddles on stage and it was great. Big enough for a good size audience to add character, small enough that there's some connection with the performers. Good bar facilities.

Booked online with no booking fee and picked up the tickets at the lobby. Lovely bar upstairs for a pre-screening drinks although you can take your drink into the screening. The only thing that stops it getting 5 stars in that there were a few...More

A gorgeous independent playhouse with a traditional feel to the interior. We watched 'Il Trovatore' screened live from the Royal Opera House and the place was packed! Already looking forward to the next visit!

This is the third time here we've been here as a family - parents, grandparents and a small child and every time has been great. We've watched small one hour theatre shows for small children and they're fab. The actors are amazing and the productions...More
