We visited the railway recently and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff there were particularly friendly and helpful and welcoming of our dog.

We rode the railway from Leaming Bar to Redmire the journey was very relaxing, at Redmire we walked to Bolton Castle, well known for housing Mary Queen of Scotts, the walk was lovely the vista was tremendous. The railway staff were very friendly and informative

Friendly and helpful staff at this wonderful old railway station. We used the railway to take us to the start of a walk and due to arriving early enjoyed the tea room and facilities. Well worth a visit of you are in the area.

Hi - yes we are. There are Santa specials until Christmas Eve and then trains will be running in between Christmas and New Year

We've bought tickets in advance and the weekends are usually busier, particularly if there is an event on.

It runs on Saturdays in November plus the 5th. Dogs cost £1 per journey but assistance dogs are free.
