Thank you for your kind words. Perhaps I should mention that we have been fortunate in being able to maintain the price of £1 for many years. Unfortunately we have recently now had to move the price to £2
i visited this shop on Saturday 1st September. Brought a brick type pork pie and stilton topped pie .shop was very interesting and clean with polite well informed staff .definitely worth a visit if you like good food and old fashioned personal service.

A regular visitor to Melton mowbray as living in Leicester currently.pork pies are my favourite.prices are a little bit more than super market prices but make a very nice treat.staff are friendly and polite and the shop is very clean

Thank you for your comments. For 26 years we have always weighed our large and extra large pork pies ... this gives a final check that the pies do contain the bone stock jelly and it hasn't leaked out during the jellying and cooling process....More

The jelly itself is bone stock jelly (made just as you would make soup from scratch at home) ... pork bones/trotters boiled up with water and reduced down ... to give a great complementary flavour to the pork in our pies.
