Known this pub for many years and the young couple that run it now are excellent. Friendly atmosphere, superb choice of real ales, real open fire and great music at weekends.

If you want good beer and live music, then you can't go wrong coming here. Very good for the live music scene. There is also a comedy night here every 3 months or so. Well worth a visit.

The accommodation is new and well thought-out. We stayed on a cycle tour and there was plenty of room for our bikes. Particularly impressed that the team provided us with early breakfast on Sunday morning, even though was not advertised. Very comfortable / good value.
