The estate has plenty of walks and you can park at Calk Abbey and walk to Staunton Harold Estate, or park and walk the round trip to Calk Abbey. You can walk around the lakes and the gardens which is very nice on a summers...More

This is a house in beautiful grounds and we often walk our dog here. There is lots of walking including a new national forest plantation. There is a garden centre, tea room and several craft shops to enjoy too.

This stately home has an absolutely stunning view and the grounds are fabulous. Decent cafe & a few speciality shops to boot.

There are various walks which are dog friendly and also a great cycle route starting near the car park. The small courtyard has a brilliant cafe where the staff are really friendly and the cakes are delicious. There are also a few nice individual shops...More

I was shown this venue by my brother who lives in the area and I found it extremely interesting and original. We'd enjoyed a breakfast in the grounds (Peach House eatery), visited the garden centre and went on to look at the individual craft shops....More

The setting is out of this world. The lakes/reservoir are stunning. The estate church is also worth a visit, with masses of history. Nearby, the stables have been converted to a craft centre with lots of individual shops. Also there is a garden centre close...More

Such a beautiful setting. Lakeside walk, tea and cake in cafe, home made bread from deli simply lovely day out for whole family.

Well worth persevering to find the entrance to the church. A lovely small church with box pews and an unusual painted ceiling. It was very atmospheric and peaceful but we were the only people there! Wonderful scenery as you walk round to the front of...More

Stopped off for a walk around the grounds and lake. a cold grey day but a lovely walk soon warmed us up. Finished off with a lovely morning tea at the cafe.

Good light lunch in the Ferrers Cafe and a lovely circular wall through the old lime quarries and woods. Lovely views.

Yes. In parts. I’ve seen people using mobility-style scooters and wheelchairs.
