Darwen Tower is the rocket that sits on top of the moors overlooking Darwen, Blackburn & Tockholes but you can see Blackpool from there too on a good day. From town to tower is 30 minutes on foot so there's no excuse for having never...More

Our two young children and their friends all thought from a distance that the tower looked like a rocket ship so that was a great incentive to get them to walk up to see it! We parked at Abbey Village (near the Hare & Hounds...More

You have to walk up to the Tower. The nearest car park is at the top of Sunnyhurst Woods. Just past the Sunnyhurst pub on the right. It takes about 30 minutes to walk up from there.

It is possible but really until the child can walk it isn't advisable. I believe that an off the road vehicle can get special permission to go all the way up.
