Friends recommended this quaint pub tucked away in the Kent countryside in Dunks Green near Tonbridge, and we share their taste, so expectations were high. We booked the Tuesday night pie and a pint for £10 a person, found our quiet corner table in the...More

Popped in on way to meeting and found it to be lovely. The staff, Mary, was very friendly and helpful with my disability. If I hadn't got an appointment elsewhere I would have stayed for longer. I will return.

Old pub in beautiful setting. Welcomes dogs in garden and at a couple of tables in the bar. Fortunately lovely weather as gloomy in bar. Had roast lunch - fresh veg , Yorkshire pud and roast potatoes all good, but meats tasteless, overcooked and dry....More

A great old pub, only fits about 25-30 people and steeped with old English charm and atmosphere. Foods great English Fayre and local ales. Makes you realise why you live England when in foreign climes.

Delicious meal at the Rifleman last night. Our reserved table in the bar area was ready for our arrival as we have two small dogs. An informal welcoming local with a good menu and excellent wines.

We have eaten here often over the years. Tuesday pie and pint evening is good value. Harvey's and Whitstable bitters are both good. The feel of a friendly local pub good for a drink, meal or both. Will be returning.

Stopped for a quick pint in this pretty rural pub that was busy enough with walkers and drivers alike. We found the pub listed in the Camra Good Beer Guide but the Harveys Sussex could have been better. Not bad but not one to rush...More

We often eat here as it's a nice location especially in summer. The food is generally OK but can be a bit hit and miss but never below an acceptable standard.

We didn't eat as they were fully booked. However we stayed and enjoyed a few drinks from the great range they have got on offer. I would definitely recommend this pub.
