Smallhythe Place is a lovely 16th-century cottage, and people who like Ellen Terry will be very pleased to visit her cottage and see many memorabilia from her career. At the end of the 19th century, she was regarded as the leading Shakespearean actress in England.

Delightful home of Ellen Terry with some lovely memorabilia. The rural setting of the house is charming and The Barn Theatre is most interesting. The only disappointing thing was the cafe which had a limited selection of cakes and no sandwiches. Very weak tea compounded...More
