After searching different things to do with our 3 year who enjoys the outside and pretend sword fights - we choose this place. There’s so much space for kids to explore and run around - all of which are safe bar the trenches which are...More

Cold, windswept, empty. Pretty much perfect. We traversed the site with the help of the audio guide which was very useful and well done. For a place that just has old Roman walls and not much else there is a surprisingly large amount of content...More

My husband and I were very impressed with the ruins. We walked from Sandwich town, takes around 40min and it’s worth, careful as you have to cross train rails and there is an area where there is no foot path, you’re just walking on the...More

Didn’t check opening times and the site was closed. Recommend check before going. HOWEVER was able to walk onto site since there is a public footpath running through the site. The site is very well presented ( and empty!!) and is generally well kept although...More
