We've lived near to this site for many years, and never visited. On recommendation we came today. It was quite an amazing tour, starting with the briefing from a very positive guide, Margaret, whose passion for the site is infectious. It's a site which takes...More

Considering this site is over 1800 years old there is a lot still to see and the audio guide and information boards are excellent at interpreting the history of these ruins and explaining how that interpretation has been arrived at .

We visited the castle by accident as was trying to find a house I stayed in. Not much to see as just a few ruins. Good car park and a toilet. Considered entrance fee excessive

To be true - there is not that much to see. There are some walls and ruins left and I recommend to use the audio guide when walking around. However, there are also information boards with some short info. It is hard to imagine that...More

We had a lovely drive along the winding road just off the A257 . There is a large carpark and toilets at the entrance to the fort. It is amazing to think the sea came all the way to this point at one time. This...More

Spent an interesting hour here on a lovely sunny day. The audio guide was good, lots of information but I wouldn’t suggest you try visiting without these as the information boards are in a poor state, some very difficult to read. This is surprising as...More
