Overview
More
The new museum, opened in 2015, describes the history of the Kent and Sharpshooters Yeomanry regiments from 1794 to the present day. The museum is designed for visitors of all ages, with many displays, four touch screens, and reconstructions of a WW1 Gallipoli trench and the interior of a WW2 Cromwell tank turret. Outside the museum we display a Saladin armoured car and a 25 pounder field gun. Access to the museum is included in the admission to Hever Castle.

We visited today when we visited the Castle. This is only a small museum but we'll worth a visit. The section of WW1 trench was very good and the sound effects gave you a little idea what life in the trenches must have been like....More

I am very glad you found our trench display effective. The sound effects were put together by Dan Taylor our Curator - it's his voice barking out the orders! Did you also find the voice recording of Brian Osborne's letters (the schoolboy stowaway at Gallipoli)...More
