About
In the heart of the glorious New Forest, Beaulieu is one of the South's top visitor attractions. Here you will find the National Motor Museum, home to over 250 vehicles telling the history of motoring. You can also visit Palace House and Gardens, home of the Montagu family since 1538, the remains of Beaulieu Abbey and World of Top Gear where you can see some of the vehicles from Jeremy, James and Richard's most ambitious challenges. Ride on the high level Monorail or climb aboard the replica 1912 open top London bus for a fun way to see Beaulieu's sights.

Wonderful and safe day out
Jun 2021
Took the family for Father's Day to the Custom and Hot Rod show. We were a bit concerned about how busy it might be because the tickets were sold out, but we shouldn't have worried.

Beaulieu had been very careful to limit the numbers to under 40% of their usual capacity. The monorail had been restricted to one family per carriage and only one stop was active (so it was really a sightseeing journey). The museum itself had a strict capacity limit and one-way system.

Although it was a well attended event, it didn't feel crowded and there was a lot of space to allow people to maintain social distancing.

The whole family loved it. Thank you, Beaulieu, for not exploiting the day, but instead respecting the Covid restrictions and giving us a wonderful, exciting but most importantly, safe day.

Queues outnumber the attractions
Jun 2021
You'd have thought with everyone pre-booked entry into the attraction would be a breeze- however, 20 mins to get in, another 10 mins into the cafe followed by 10 mins to place an order. All the while it's cold and raining, an atmosphere only matched by the miserable greeting from the staff. Good to see the cafe carrying on the motoring tradition being more akin to motorway service station of the 1970's in terms of decor and food.
Nice exhibits but you really need to invest in customer service training. On a miserable cold and wet day like today don't leave customers queuing out in the rain. Greet them with a warm encouraging welcome like you are pleased to see them and appreciative of the efforts they had made to keep the attraction in business and the staff employed

Poor Customer Service
Jun 2021 • Family
Visited today-enjoyed the museum and monorail but the customer service throughout was very poor-starting with Tanya at the entrance.
It would have been nice to be greeted with a nice smile, sorry for the wait (it took far too long to process people),have a nice day etc..but instead we felt like we were an inconvenience. It’s interesting that other customers have also mentioned Tanya’s service today!
When entering the museum, we were also greeted with a very blunt lady who proceeded to explain the one way system. I’d suggest some extra training on positive body language and the art of making people feel valued would be time well spent for the staff.
The quality of the food also left a lot to be desired for the cost!

Desperate need customer service training
Jun 2021
Ok so weather was awful and we were greeted with long queue in the rain and a really slow admission procedure but what was totally unacceptable was the rude, abrupt and totally unwelcoming admission member staff. Unfortunately this attitude seemed endemic and evident in all the other staff we met with the exception of one woman on the monorail. Come on Beaulieu how about some good old customer service training! This has definitely put us off recommending a visit.

Poor customer sevice
Jun 2021 • Family
Visited today as we are a home educated family and learning about Wind In The Willows, so old cars fits in nicely with topic.

My daughters (5 and 8) were very excited for their trip to Beaulieu but upon arrival we were "greeted" by Tanya who had a very abrupt and rude manner. No "Hello, welcome to Beaulieu, hope you enjoy your day"...just a "you got a family pass but need to upgrade if you want to come back" she was so curt that even my 8 year old daughter asked why wasn't that lady very nice to us.

First impressions and customer service make a huge impact on your day especially when you have spent £55 on a family voucher. Also I didn't realise that the annual pass only included the museum and nothing else without paying to upgrade.

Let's face it a family pass is usually purchased for families for with younger children and with Little Beaulieu being part of the attraction now and the only child friendly part of Beaulieu, £10 per adult to upgrade so that children can use play park (because that is the main pull for children), on the next visit seems rather steep.

The one way system doesn't work regarding social distancing as everyone is queued up all around the museum and you can't move on as you have to wait for those in front on you, so if anything is preventing social distancing. Also there is a huge amount of pressure just to keep walking and not look at anything in detail due to everyone stressing out having to queue for so long and naturally not everyone wants to look at the same thing.

The restaurant food is adequate. It was a cold and wet day so we bought 2 x children's meals for £5 each to warm them up. The meatballs were overcooked so much so that they we hard to bite into as was the battered fish. The cups for hot drinks are very flimsy, my mum almost burned herself as the cup isn't very strong when holding it and as my daughter picked up the hot chocolate the cup collapsed and spilt all over her too.

Albeit the monorail was fun, the house was beautiful and staff inside were lovely. Due to extremely wet weather we were unable to walk around the grounds but they looked beautiful too but I won't be paying to upgrade and come back just to see gardens.

Absolutely brilliant
Jun 2021 • Friends
The motor museum was absolutely brilliant - a perfect rainy day activity. Loved the mix of historic cars and an amazing show case of modern and classic F1 cars.

The museum guide was fantastic- so friendly and knowledgable- definitely enhanced the experience and a credit to the museum.

10/10 for a family day out at Beaulieu
Jun 2021 • Family
I would highly recommend Beaulieu it’s a beautiful place to visit from lovely gardens, Beaulieu house and the fantastic motor museum me and my family had a wonderful family’s day out here and can’t can’t wait to come back again. I can understand some people may feel slightly concerned about going because of the COVID going on and this can effect people with anxiety but honestly you will be ok once your there they have really good safety precautions in place at Beaulieu and the staff are so friendly and welcoming anyone with concerns would feel comfortable to talk to them! I give Beaulieu 10/10

A good day out
Jun 2021 • Couples
Had a lovely day at Beaulieu in the pouring rain. Lots to see and felt very safe in the one way system. The cafe was organised very well and the staff all worked very hard to keep tables clear and seat people.

Something for everyone
Jun 2021
Bearing in mind I live in the area I hadn’t visited Beaulieu for years but with guests for the weekend I thought I would take them to see the sculpture exhibition. I am so glad I did; we had a lovely time arriving at 12.00 and staying to 16.30 leaving with lots more still to see. I will definitely be back, my visitors and I were really impressed with Beaulieu, it’s well thought out with something of interest for all ages.
