Excellent tour guided by Peter Jones and timed perfectly with the 75th anniversary of the Little Ships. Peter was knowledgable, informative and entertaining and laid on a quality couple of days in and around Dunkirk. Would highly recommend him.

I concur with Greg's comments below. Last year Peter guided our group around some of the battlefield sites, cemeteries and memorials in The Somme region of France. This year we travelled with him to Ypres, in Belgium, for another unforgettable, informative and sobering experience. Peter...More

What absolutely fantastic weekend hosted by Peter. The choir were invited to sing at the the last post ceremony and at St George’s Church. In between the performances Peter chaperoned the ladies on a tour of the war cemetery’s. His depth of knowledge and the...More

My son booked Peter Jones to take us to where my grandfather fell near Ypres in 1917. Peter did an amazing amount of research which, coupled to his background knowledge and organisational skills gave us a truly memorable day trip. Peter was able to pinpoint...More

Really enjoyed this battlefield tour - the way you filled in the family background made me feel part of your story.

It is hard to do justice to the unforgettable tour that Peter organised for my husband and myself . His engaging personality and good humour are the first things that strike one when he helps us in to his 'tout confort' Range Rover , and...More

Writing this on behalf of my father, son, brother and brother in law. There very much enjoyed this tour. Peter is knowledgeable, good company, well organised and able to relate site visits to family connections and personal anecdotes.

ANN D
I don't know if you can help but I'll give you the information and you can decide. My dad Alexander Murphy 84 years of age received the D.F.C. last year which was awarded to his older brother Flying Officer William Murphy R.A.F.V.R. posthumously during the ll World War in May 21 1944. He was a wireless operator of an aircraft flying over the borders of Germany and Holland when his crew were shot down and killed. His grave is now reinterred to the British Military Cemetery at Reichswald Forest, situated three miles south-west of Cleve, North-west Germany. My son and daughter along with myself are travelling with dad on the ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam and staying at the Sheraton Pulitzer Hotel in Amsterdam arriving the Tuesday 3rd March and returning on the Thursday ferry back home to Scotland. We have the details of the grave site. I see from your website its all been about the World War 1 and France and Belgium. Are you able to go further afield over the German Border and from Holland? If so what would be the cost and are you available at such short notice? I will be grateful for any information for travelling from the centre of Amsterdam to Cleve and the return with some time spent at my dad's brother's graveside. Kind regards Ann Donoghue
