A bit scruffy with the trees that have been taken down and just left in a heap, but a lovely place to walk around, with a delightful little cafe.

Spontaneous wander round a common area and make with some wildlife. This winter stroll with parking nearby is a great escape for a short period to blow the cobwebs away.

Excellent fresh air walk around the heath, dog friendly child friendly. There is a cafe and in the summer the lake has boats for hire.

We often come here so the kids can run around and play in the park. Also the plump duck sells duck food which is also nice for the kids to get up close with the local wildlife.

Driving from the town on the southern side of the lake, the car park is on the left at the far end on that side. It's a free car park. You can also find parking in the treats around it.

it is exactly 1.3 km. I measured it with a tape roller borrowed from the council when I was run training.
