About
Sammy Miller MBE is a motorcycling legend, 11 times British Champion, winner of over 1400 events and still winning competitions more than 50 years after his first victory. The Museum houses one of the finest collections of fully restored motorcycles in the world, including factory racers and exotic prototypes, with the collection constantly evolving as new bikes are acquired. There are over 400 rare and classic motorcycles on display in four galleries - one of which showcases the fabulous Norton Collection. The museum is set within an attractive courtyard, with tea rooms, craft shops and children's play area. It is also home to many chickens, donkeys, goats, alpacas and two aviaries.

On Tuesday morning there is a motorcycle meetup at the Museum.

At the tea-rooms, have the all-day breakfast there plus coffee.

It is really nicely done and good value for just £10.

Highly recommended!

The best Bike museum in the world?
May 2021
This is a very personal museum. Sammy has it run the way he wants it, but the result is that every bike is immaculately presented, and, I believe, almost all the bikes are runners. The museum contains a number of rarities and one-offs - the V8 Moto-Guzzi, the Norton 'Kneeler' and so on. If you're into motorbikes, a visit here is a must.
(Sadly, the Cafe, which used to be run by the Museum, is now let out to a contractor. It's over-priced and underwhelming)

One of my favourite places in the world.
An amazing collection of bikes. The staff are friendly welcoming and knowledgeable.
The many ride ins/ meets/ autojumbles are always interesting. A great atmosphere with like minded people, always a good day out

Definitely NOT to be missed !!
Dec 2020
Just a fantastic collection of very rare and interesting motorcycles. Over 400 machines in pristine condition, many restored to as new condition.
The range is staggering, from the very first road going bikes through to late seventies.Road racing , speedway and of course trials motorcycles are all represented here even wartime , Police and AA get a spot in the line up ! There's a great little shopping area with bargain models, books,DVDs and caps etc.

It's great to see Sammy Miller still working on his latest exhibits in the worksop even today in his late Eighties !
I genuinely could have spent all day here - highly recommended.

A must for motorcycle enthusiasts

Visited here today. Lovely well laid out museum full of beautifully restored bikes and memorabilia. Set in lovely grounds. Don't forget to take carrots and apples to feed the donkeys and alpacas. They're so cute. We visited the coffee shop and had the most delicious biscoff cheesecake. Lots of outdoor seating. Really friendly staff.

Loved it!

Very welcoming, knowledgable staff and a great collection. Nice cafe here also. You can leave your helmet and jacket whilst enjoying the collection if you wish. We were greeted by a very welcoming and knowledgable gentleman who offered to put our tank bag (with our valuables in) behind the counter whilst myself and my better half looked around. Great covid measures in place. Sammy himself (the legend) offered us local advice on things to do/places to visit providing us with a map of the Isle of Wight. Thanks for the hospitality it was very much appreciated.

Lovely day out
Sep 2020
My partner and I love motorbikes and we were not disappointed, such a lovely day, all covid restrictions in place, we had coffee and burger in the courtyard which was very nice and reasonable, the museum was also reasonable (although senior citizens concessions are over 70 ) so much to see. Couple of little shops again both very reasonable, place for young children to play and also see the animals. loved every minute of it. Also met Sammy but didn't realize it was him.

Superb Museum
Sep 2020
Superb museum with a huge collection of bikes all in fabulous condition. Is a much larger museum than we expected the staff were very informative and helpful.

There is plenty here to while away a good few hours, along with a large courtyard with a cafe and a few craft shop selling unique gifts. There are also a few Alpacas and donkeys - so an ideal place to go as a family.

Would 100% recommend a visit here it was brilliant.
