The displays of Lowry's work are superb. Apart from his famous "matchstick men" paintings, there are wonderful rooms full of many of his other works, together with intimate reflections of his life in and around Manchester. It is very worthwhile to have a guided tour,...More

Amazing show last night in this lovely theatre. It was our first visit but won’t be the last! We sat in the stalls (row r) and our view of the stage wasn’t obstructed at all. Lovely bar and coffee bar too.

I am sure that like many people the name Lowry immediately conjures up visions of the drawings of stick like figures and gives the impression of simplistic art. NOT SO in this case ..this gallery full of Lowry's works shows him to have been a...More

Really good look-a-likes; the simplicity of the humour brought it all back. The nostalgia of yesteryear. Great atmosphere, with lots of audience participation ( even joining in with well known punch-lines).

What a show! Great acts and well worth the ticket fee. The theatre itself was small, 3 tiers of seating. Seats were VERY small and the larger or long legged guest would struggle. Plenty of bars and eateries. Prices average £7.50 for a bottle of...More

There is a theatre in there but it is separate to the upstairs gallery where there are plenty of Lowry's paintings on show. Well worth seeing if you like his work.
