The coffee was very nice. Staff friendly. We had a coffee and a cake. Mugs are in a terrible state. I wiped the crumbs off the table to leave it clean and the serviette I used was black when I lifted it. Reception floor covered...More

I can only assume that the lack of any reasonable type of facilities here is due to the limited number of ferries that use the port. A really depressing terminal and certainly not a good advert for the UK. Although they do have toilets they...More

Yes the port is run down but it is really a commercial route with cars. Staff all good .easy waiting area for the car. Dock easy to find and well signposted. Ship was fine loading fast and on time. This is not a tourist route...More

Staff in Newhaven are much better than in Dieppe' but the lounge is very old and sometimes you have to wait a long time. My wifi didn't work but apparently it does but is slow. Foot passengers now travel with dogs but there are six...More

Compared with other Channel ports, Newhaven is out of date with few facilitie. No refreshment areas for example; no information about how late the ferry would be. Bad.

This is a terrible port to depart from, it belongs in the run down nationalised industry scenario of the seventies.

So our first introduction to Newhaven (as Brits) is a run down, rubbish covered dump of a ferry port. What on earth do visitors to the UK make of it. For goodness sake spend some money on the place and make it look a little...More

To be honest, I can't blame this port, but if you're ready for big queues and long waiting time this is your place! Usually, when we are crossing to France and vice versa we use Dover/Calais and my god I underestimated how much of a...More

Now let me start by saying I grew up in Newhaven (I know, poor me) I've since moved away. The way Newhaven council has let Newhaven port decline and the french company,Transmanche, get away with the underinvestment is criminal. Its not just the port either...More

This port is tiny, there is one little cafe with toilets. Unfortunately we set off early to avoid traffic and arrived nearly 3 hours before the departure time :( it was a long wait sitting in the car with nowhere to walk. Once passport checks...More

Sorry not to have answered before but I wrote the review after travelling through Newhaven from Dieppe as I live. In France. I really am not sure but I am sure that you could contact the port office to find out. Best of luck
