It'd been many years since I last visited Felixstowe, so when I returned today I was astonished at how much work had been done to restore the historic gardens. The lawns are perfectly manicured and there's steps and slopes to allow access to a wide...More

This is a little oasis for a lovely view from the exceptionally build shelter overlooking the sea. With a memorial plaque to a remarkable citizen of Felixstowe, Philip Hadwen. Also interesting facts of the town.

Felixstowe seafront esplanade has a great variety along its 2 mile length. The southern end is a bit 'kiss me quick' but does have a good range of food and drink outlets, the northern end is more relaxed and provides great views in both directions...More

The work that has gone into the gardens refurb hasn't been wasted. They look really good for it. The gardens are always well tended and cared for and give a pleasant air of the old fashioned resort to Felixstowe :)
