On entering we were given an audio device. We watched an interesting introduction film and then into display area. All displays were very well presented and numbered and the audio clear and precise with easy to understand information. Lifelike models of the fossils hung over...More

This was a lovely well laid out museum, easy to see the fossils, and the hand held audio device brought everything to life. The speaker was one of the discoverers of Mia (Minmi paravertebra), and the excitement can still be heard in his voice. There...More

I thought the display was expensive at $20 per person and the café was amateurishly woeful, serving people out of turn and we waited over 15 minutes for a couple of smoothies, but when questioned they hadn't even started to make them. So we left...More

Very well presented displays with audio guides. Nice short film for the introduction. Plenty of items found on local stations. Helpful staff. Also attached is a resonably priced cafe with hot chips that are excellent.

This is probably the reason most people chose to visit Richmond. The display is excellent and it teaches us about the age of the great inland sea and its ancient inhabitants.

I love this place. As with a few places in Aus, it's somewhere I've visited on each occasion that I've been over. Why? Because it brings history to life. It's not that big a place, but it does have a working lab where you can...More

We found the Ammonite Inn motel was a good place to base our Richmond activities from. It also has a restaurant which serves up excellent meals. The managers were very friendly and helpful when we stayed there.
