Seeing the tame rock wallabies was a treat, bring some apple. Sorry to have missed the snorkel trail to see the wreck and clams but that gives us incentive to return.

Stock wallabies at old ferry terminal cute and friendly
Jun 2021
Enjoyed the rock wallabies at the old ferry terminal.
Could have been better signposted for walkers from the road, but natural and unspoilt

Picturesque and peaceful on a rainy day. Not great swimming weather but beautiful for a stroll on the beach between the raindrops. Lovely location

Rock wallabies

Great spot at just before dusk to see the rock wallabies. Disappointing to see so much “food” on the rocks including the food that should not be feed to them despite the signs. Picturesque spot with massive rocks looking out to Townsville.

Rock Wallabies
Mar 2021 • Couples
The road into the area is a bit rough and it pays to park and walk in. The Wallabies blend into the colour of the rocks but are reasonably friendly especially if you have the usual supplies, apple pawpaw banana so go prepared.

As expected
Jan 2021
The bay itself is quite spectacular and you could see people snorkelling and diving near the wrecks, despite the dreadful weather. We saw about four rather flea-bitten wallabies around the rocks, and other people had clearly been thorough as there was abundant feed of carrots, apple and watermelon. We took the obligatory photo and left.

Snorkeling trail
Nov 2020 • Friends
Best snorkeling trail on the island. I saw a baby seahorse and my buddy saw a huge unicorn fish up close. Very healthy little reef. Good colour and lots of different fish to see. Well worth it on a calm day the water is nice and clear.
