Did a private hire for the family...ages 6 to 86. Included two keen birders. The trip had something for everybody. The guides were excellent in terms of patience with those who found it hard to pick up the birds/snakes/crocs and knowledge of the waterway. Had...More

We booked online but arrived earlier than we expected but were able to swap to an earlier trip. We got to see 3 good size crocs and the guide also showed us some unusual and hard to see birds and flowers. The guide was enthusiastic...More

The owners run a friendly, informative and well paced cruise along the Daintree River. Small, solar powered boat is discreet and quiet which matches the experience of wildlife viewing and croc spotting. We spotted 3 x crocs!

The commitments of our visitors meant that our tour time with Solar Whisper was restricted to high tide - not ideal for spotting crocs, BUT we still managed to come across 3 good sized crocodiles and quite a range of other wildlife. Martin at the...More

From the get go we were told that we may, or indeed may not see a croc. Well luck was with us and we saw four - two little ones (two year olds) a middle sized one (five years old) and a big one (fifteen...More

Cruising along a rainforest river is great. Add an electric boat with hardly any noise and no fumes and it’s fantastic. Add a skipper who’s tuned in to the experience, passionate (in a quiet and understated way - obvious but no histrionics) about what he...More

The cooler months are better. The crocodiles will leave the water to warm themselves. The hotter months the water is warm so they don't need to soak up the sun.
