About
Very personal (max. 10) nature-based Daintree River tour. Experienced, friendly and science-based information. We think the tour when on a small boat is so much better than tours on the other larger 20, 24, 30-50 seat boats that also tour the river...more

We (wife, 7-year old son & myself) took a sunset cruise with Dan (July 2012), and it turned out to be a highlight of our stay in the Daintree region. Initially, I was a bit skeptical for I thought this will be some kind of...More

I called him in the morning and asked if he had a sunset or sunrise tour for that day or the next. He said he didn't and I was going to hang up. We were really only interested in a tour at that time since...More

We set off at 5pm and returned around 8pm, totally fulfilled with the adventure on the Daintree River with Dan and Joey. There was an abundance of peace, bird spotting, information, conversation, mangroves, tropical foliage, sunset, fruitbats and multiple crocodiles ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŠ

Already went on rain forest walks and night walks, but this was special. A totally different look at the rain forest plus crocodiles.

Our hotel introduced us to Dan Irby. Danโ€™s boat is a custom made boat for about ten to twelve guests. We were the only two on this particular evening. Dan started by asking what it was we were interested in? Oh, if only we were...More

We did the evening spotlighting tour with Dan and it was incredible! You start on the boat at dusk and watch as night falls over the rainforest and Daintree river - it is truly beautiful and unlike anything else we have ever experienced. Dan is...More

Enjoyed a small (in fact just 2 of us) group trip down the river as the sun set turning into darkness. Dan highlighted wildlife, nature and some history. Lucky enough to see birds, bats and a couple of crocodiles in their native environment. Did see...More

Dan is very knowledgeable and covers a lot of detail in his 2+ hour tours. We did the night tour which was different from the offering of other operators and it didnโ€™t disappoint.
