We enjoyed delicious snacks with our coffee at this very pleasant coffee shop in the beautiful historic building. Staff were on the ball and we enjoyed relaxing at the outdoor tables in the arcade.

As one of the historical show - cases of charters towers, this beautiful reminder of the city 's past importance is worth a quick visit. Stocks were traded via telegraph links with the rest of the world. There are information signs with stories of fortunes...More

We loved Charters Towers it’s like a bygone era, and of course you’ll have a look at this arcade. Imagine an outback town like CT with a fancy stock exchange!

A beautiful period building with grand arched roof and tassellated tile floor. The area is used for a cafe so you can sit and admire the architecture over a coffee.

For the aussie history of it, you must visit. Be gtateful it was saved in the 1960's. Our favourite was the cite interesting book shop with very firendly service. Was also part of the ghost tour we went on.

Breakfast was expensive for the quality and poor service from a teenage waiter. We found this place to be quite run down and not exactly clean. Looked nice in the photos but isn't exactly what it seems. The outdoor eating area was nice though

From the original iron fretwork, stained glass, imposing metal gates, beautiful tiles, high closed in ceilings - what's not to love. The fact there is a gift shop, second hand book shop and a cafe in the arcade are real bonuses!
