Rye Beach is a nice beach. It is soft to walk on the beach. The dunes were on the side. The ocean was calm/ There were seagulls on the beach. They were happy. Most customers had gone home. After all, it was after 6 P.M....More

This beach is so calm and has such beautiful views. Great for all ages and lots of barriers for setting up for the day. Water is also very shallow so great for kids.

If you want a shallow beach for toddlers, this is the place. The only down side is the small boats anchoring close to shore but most were very responsible in their methods. Bring shade shelter : the beach is very open with no shaded areas.

Rye beaches are a great asset to the Mornington Peninsula. Clean sand, and as choice of 'front' beach for shallow, calm water and the 'back' beach for surf.

Contrast to other beaches, it fantastic to walk along the wide beach , exploring the rockpools and caves. Great surf beach and it's hard to believe it's at our back door. Nice and clean , not too crowded. fantastic.

We take for granted the scenery along the coastline on the southern cost of the Mornington Peninsula and so too many of the ocean beaches such as Rye, Gunnamatta and St Andrews. Each have great views and rolling surf, sand dunes and great walks. Rye...More

It is a nice Bayside beach. There was a fair bit of plastic , glass and rubbish in the sand. The beach had a gentle slope so that it didn't get deep quickly.

A very safe beach for young kids and the family. On a clear hot day the water is very clear. Our favourite.
