The village is tucked away and if going by road the route should be checked out well in advance. Car parking is difficult but there is a public car park some 400 yards away.

This was our third visit to this garden as we live only c25 miles away. A recent reviewer comments on the absence of flowers, but perhaps they just didn’t see the lovely display of flowering (tall) cornus, which had a masses of attractive white blossom....More

Disappointed. The only flowers on show were the beautiful water lillies. Formal layout of trees and lawns. Water iaround fountains dirty.

Warning - only open in August ! Guides in every room and a very interesting house - HHA member. Lovely grounds too and a handy and classy tearoom.

We enjoyed a very interesting pre-booked guided tour of the Hall. Everyone enjoyed it so much and learned such a lot about the Hall and the families who have lived there. It is a truly magnificent building, with wonderful contents and the gardens are superb....More

Hi Not sure if they would be allowed in the formal grounds - but certainly around the lake and surrounding walks I have seen many dogs being walked
