This place is a really nice day out but if your going to walk around the reservoir take a drink! It does take hours it’s 8 n 1/2 miles in total but it is nice. The visitor centre is a nice place

Good walk on decent surfaced path was just right for a winter walk following a few days of snow and rain. Coffee in visitors centred most welcome.

We enjoyed a really nice quick lunch in the restaurant and then did the Purple Route. Three miles partly along the reservoir dam and partly just away from the water (which was a nice change for a reservoir walk. The path was really well marked....More

As a family we enjoyed cycling around the reservoir, it was a nice easy route- very family friendly. The visitor centre was a great stop off for coffee and ice cream.

We walked around the reservoir which was about 8 miles in all, it was a undulating walk but not difficult. The scenery was peaceful and relaxing with plenty of wildlife to watch. Would take the bikes next time as lots of cycle routes.

Took the dog here regularly while staying in the area. A nice walk around the water, and plenty to see with birds and boats. A nice selection of shops at the visitor centre.....parking to be paid for

Did the complete circle walk around the restoring, circa 8 miles on 21st Jan. Wind was cold enough to freeze your face off but feel so much better for being out and about. Just what the doctor ordered. Paths are a combination of gravel and...More
