So beautiful, I love it here! What ever the season the scenery is stunning. Climb Thorpe Cloud and come back via the stepping stones. Lots of lovely pubs for a well deserved lunch.

Enjoyable walk even though the weather was grey and wet. Would've been even better with clearer sky but I can imagine it being a little too crowded with walkers when the weather is decent.

Nice walk along the river then up the hill! Little bit cheeky asking you to pay to park but oh well! Must visit when around the area! The little ice cream parlour next to the toilets is super too! Especially after going up and down...More

An easy 6 mile walk to Milldale and back. There are two relatively easy ascents along an otherwise flat and well made path. If you're not steady on your feet, think twice about doing the full walk because the steps that have been built up...More

Visit out of season and enjoy the beauty, nature and peace of a fantastic walk. Avoid peak holiday season unless you like crowds and noise. Car park at Dovedale was £3 all day which I thought was reasonable. Lovely walk for dogs too, not forgetting...More

Visited with my husband, parents and my very energetic dog. The car park is £5.50 all day and only takes cash so bear that in mind before you arrive. It took us about 3 hours from Dovedale to Milldale for a slow walk which knackered...More

There are some located at the carpark. I didn't use them so can't comment on the condition. I gather that it costs 20p to use them.

It’s certainly walkable even for someone with difficulty. The route is flat and well pathed.
