Amazing to see the old pit workings preserved the way they are. Nice local cafe, good place to hold small events

Although this pit is advertised in 2016 brochures it is closed and being used as offices very disappointing as we walked up the long winding coastal pathway with no indication of the closure.

Don't visit. The place is no longer open. If you go in error, enjoy the beautiful coastal walks and free car parking here

Unfortunately this attraction is now closed, not sure what went wrong, but it's a real shame as it gave all visitors an insight into the history of the area and this long lost industry.

If you are interested in industrial archeology and recent history, this is a good place to visit. There are retired miners who describe life down the pit.

Home-made food, which was lovely.Very reasonably priced specials, and wonderful cakes! Only downside was that last orders for cooked food is 14.15. Allowed our little dog in,and as this is a great place to walk over the tops to work up an appetite, remember to get in early!
