Visited here basically due to the weather and was glad I did , as usual with these places you come away having learned something you didn’t know before and had a nice cup of coffee into the bargain, interesting place , worth the visit.

Very well thought out and maintained facility. Excellent mix of history and entertainment features for children (and adults!). Three grandchildren, 8-12 years, were absorbed for 4 hours! Cafe good too.

Took my grandsons ages 2 and 4 to see this as they are dinosaurs crazy they really enjoyed it and want to go back. They also enjoyed the two other exhibitions one on Sellafield the other about Whitehaven they were all very interactive and interesting....More

Bugsandstuff workshop. We took our 6 year old grandson to this and he absolutely loved it. he loves insects and persuaded Marie to touch a tarantula even though she has arachnophobia .

Thankyou for your comments. The nearby mulitstorey car park is available to the public at weekends. There is a car park at the Beacon Museum. If you buy a museum entry ticket, you can park for all day for £5.10 for the whole day. Your...More

Yes it's generally the same as the museum (4.30pm) although they occasionally host evening events.
