18 holes of challenging golf set in the majestic Eskdale valley awaits visitors to this secluded parkland course. Stunning views attract golfers each year and combined with a layout that will test the most skillful player, our signature par three 14th lake hole will be a serious challenge for any player. Combine all of this with its own private salmon fishing river, Eskdale surely is well worth a visit. Eskdale golf course is also set at a midway point along the Esk trail a well beaten path for walkers and cyclists of all abilities on route from Ravenglass to the heart of the Eskdale Valley. The Esk Cafe run from the clubhouse provides a welcome resting point for those who need it with a great selection of homemade cakes, snacks and hot and cold drinks.

Today we called into the cafe for coffee and delicious homemade lemon cake. We sat on the patio and watch a few golfers negotiate the 17th and 18th holes. I have played the course before and it looked in good condition and if you are...More

If you're a golfer on holiday in west Lake District [ie around Wastwater] do make the effort to play here. It's an interesting holiday course, comparatively inexpensive and quiet --with a real honesty box, immaculately maintained, a buggy if you need it, plenty to keep...More
