Cartmel is a delightful little village and can get very busy. Parking is always a problem but the racecourse car park is at the other end of the village. Lovely old building dating back to 1188. A lot to see but unfortunately not a lot...More

I love cartmel i went there a few times with my sweet mary and we went to the priory this is a priory one must visit if you visit cartmel it is like going back in time a sweet little village and lots of tea...More

Tucked away down ñnarow lanes is this treasure of the lake District. Ancient buildings housing village pubs, cafes, souvenir shops etc.

Absolutely beautiful old priory...we have visited quite a few times over the years but always come back. I llt a candle for my parents who Ive recently lost and find the atmosphere very calming, and the vicar is such a lovely man...im not particularly religious...More
