The priory is stunning and we were welcomed with our little dog at the door by some volunteers.It is a beautiful building and well worth the drive.

Excellent food..... homemade beef and ale pie was to die for. Customer service was excellent. Taking my mum and auntie out for the day next week and plan to call in and treat them before we drive back to Liverpool.
Having been before we knew what to expect. It was worth a second visit. Afterwards we went round Cartmel itself and can recommend their famous sticky toffee pudding.I had cream with mine and my wife had ice cream.
