Lovely church, packed full of history, and a gloriously peaceful churchyard to sit, reflect, think about loved ones past and present, and chat to the grazing sheep, all with a Southern Lakes backdrop.

This really is a beautiful church in a lovely village. It also has a good gift shop and the staff and volunteers are so friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about the building. Well worth a visit.

The priory is a beautiful old church worth popping into if you are in cartmel. It smelt incredible as they had recently decorated the church with flowers!

Had a look in here whilst in Cartmel. Lots of history dating back to 1188. Small information leaflet provided but could do with a bit more information about the various artefacts etc. I remember singing here as a boy but would not dare to now!...More

Ancient abbey church, full of magnificent architectural features and history. Too little time to explore properly, but well worth a visit.

Hi, it's approximately 10 minutes, if you don't stop at too many shops on the way!
