We were walking I the valley and called in for lunch. The local (Hall's) Cumberland sausage with mash, cabbage & onion gravy was well cooked and well presented.
There is a good choice of beer and the open fire was appreciated
Friendly staff and atmosphere.
We have been going to the Boot Inn for years now and it has been up and down but the current owners have got the atmosphere just right! It’s relaxed with good food and great service.

Visited as a family of 2 adults and one 8 year old.
To start, this pub is in idyllic surroundings, made all the better by the good weather on the day of our visit. We sat outside and enjoyed dinner in the sun.
Arrived 8.30pm on a Friday got fed and watered, nice steak and ale pie. Room was comfortable and slept reasonably well however there was a continuous noise sounding like a fan running which made it difficult to drop off asleep. Finally did and slept ok....More
