About
Traditional Family run Gardens, Tea Room & Large Plant Nursery. This is a must for the keen gardener and wildlife lover. The Gardens are set beyond the Nursery and once walking through the walled archway the magic begins. The gardens are set around a tranquil pool with island pathways and wooden bridges leading to various features. This Monet-style landscape has a wealth of moisture-loving plants, including iris and primulas. Drier areas feature unusual perennials and rarer trees and shrubs. Woodland paths meander through shade and bog plantings with views across the pool to the cottage gardens. Outdoor Theatres and Weddings are also held here throughout the season. Also ideal for Cyclists and dog walkers as very close to the Delamere Loop and Sandstone Trail. Ladies Afternoon Teas, Group Tours and Workshops are also held throughout the season. Open March to October. Out of Season bookings taken for special events and groups. See our Website for more details on upcoming events.

Quirky, interesting gardens. Well worth a walk round. Flat paths.
Attached plant nursery with an amazing range of plants not usually seen in a commercial garden centre. The owners have a fantastic knowledge of these plants and would highly recommend budding gardeners and those who want something different to visit and speak to owners. It was a pleasure to see non commercial perennials.

This was a brilliant garden with beautiful planting and water areas. A lovely experience and easy to walk through. They have left a boggy wooded area to show what they had to develop. Amazing how they have transformed it. The outdoor cafe area was excellent with well priced food. The shop also was great value and we all came away with plants and other garden ornaments

Visited today very nice relaxing gardens and nice little garden centre with lots of old fashioned cottage garden plants and garden ornaments, the gardens were nice to walk round left quite wild probably to attract insects, bees etc. We had a late and and americano coffee from the tea room which was a little disappointing as they were both weak and watery especially the latte which should have been milky, otherwise very nice friendly staff and a nice day.

Due to Stonyford being closed due to COVID 19 . Stoneyford have set up a wonderful on line service . I ordered 3 robins on Wednesday. Paid on line with pay pal . Chose my day and time slot for 12.30 today Friday 12 th June . An excellent and efficient service. Our order was waiting for us on a table in the car park with our name on a board . Definitely recommend and use this service again at Stonyford. Many thanks Fred and Wendy Millership.

Considering how close this place is to roads & railway it is so tranquil. We had sandwiches at the cafe & were fortunate with the weather that we were able to sit outside. Staff were efficient.
The garden centre didn't have many plants yet it's not the time of year for them so was expected.
We were told the gardens are better at other times of the year. We could see the plants that would in be flower at other times yet were very happy to see the different shades of green and to stop & while away some time as we found it so peaceful. It is also such an accomplishment to the owners for what they have created in a bog.
We will be back another time to see the flowers.

Walked around gardens and nursery in less than 30 mins pushing a buggy. Admission over-priced at £4. More of a rough diamond than a hidden gem. We were so unhappy we ignored the tea rooms so unable to comment further.

This is a hidden gem. The cottage gardens are a place of tranquility and peace to escape from the madness of day to day life. It allowed me to forget all my troubles and just enjoy nature at its best. The service and the food at the tearoom were both amazing and finishing the trip buying reasonably priced plants with informative advice was a must.
Will definitely be visiting again
