This memorial in The Crescent was erected in 1921. A stepped base supports a plinth with a Celtic Cross. There are nearly 300 names inscribed on the memorial.

It is a bit overtly Christian for me, but it is well kept and next to a lovely little garden. The area around, the Crescent is well worth a look.

The memorial is situated just opposite the town bridge which give access to the banks. It is very busy near by as it opens out to all the main areas and places of interest around Wisbech including the Market Square, the Bus Station, the river...More

Having just moved to Wisbech, I came across this memorial. It is a poignant reminder of those who perished in the defence of this country.

Hello. You have to take the time to simply see this. Just stand and remember those who sacrificed their lives for us and freedom. I salute the fallen heroes!

The Memorial is a bit tucked away and not easy to find. Feel it should be in a more prominent position in town.It is well looked after however.

If local and you want a good memorial Sunday Rememberance then attend here and you cannot but be moved with the thought of those local and across the country who gave their lives for the good of the country, it always moves me.

Located in the Crescent it is one of the most prominent memorials I have seen. In a very clean and tidy area with pretty garden in the background. Nice to see something of importance be so well maintained.
