We visited the zoo a couple of days ago, during Easter holidays 2010 with our 3 kids aged 11, 7 and 3. Luckily, we used Tesco clubcard vouchers to get in here, otherwise we would have been even more cheesed off! Everyone queuing to pay...More

Visited here especially to see the tiger cubs (quite big now). Whilst they were in the small enclosure to begin with they were in the main enclosure later in the day so worth hanging around. Good vantage points on the higher path to see them...More

River Cottage and the escapades of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall remain one of my favourite cookery shows. An idyllic farmhouse opening its doors to the general public to demonstrate a style of farming, cooking and entertaining that is sustainable, self-sufficient and more wholesome than an Enid Blighton...More

Oh dear - what a disappointment in many respects. Extremely expensive to get in, taking the car is extra and definitely required as it is a huge site with great distances between everything. The African Hunting Dog viewing platform was good but the one round...More

Having been to a number of Zoo’s both in this country and abroad I found this one to be the most confusing and spaced out. It was a cross between a Zoo and a safari park but because the signage was so poor it was...More

Easily found ZSL Whipsnade from the road signs with enough parking. We decided to leave the car outside and walk around, although people can pay £25 to take the car into the zoo. Hardly any queues at the entrance with friendly staff welcoming us to...More

This was our second visit to Whipsnade, the first being around 8 years ago. The zoo is huge as many have said. In many ways, it's too big as it's a trek to do on foot, driving a car in is expensive and the bus...More

Yes there is a small building just outside where the lookout lodges are where you can shower. It’s a little cold but it does the job.

You don’t need parking tickets if you take your car in the zoo It’s like a stop and go all around the site with plenty of places to stop view the attraction and the dive into the next one
