This is a great beach for surfing and there's a ton of surf dudes everywhere. The beach is large and sandy, but it's a shame they've built some ugly 80s style holiday apartment houses right at the entrance to it. The town itself is a...More

Lovely village. Some nice eateries and a couple of surf shops. Beware the lack of pavement in places. Nice pasties and ice cream!

One of a gang of eight families, we descended on Croyde Bay for a final summer blast to celebrate a significant birthday. Went to Croyde on the Sunday, for a bit of surfing / body boarding. Beach clean and large enough for us all. BBQ's...More

Perfect beach day, the young child loved climbing in the sand dunes and paddling in the Atlantic surf. A lot of surfers and body boarders but plenty of room. Plenty of food options in Croyde, lovely cafes or takeaway pasty or delicious ice cream.

I will certainly return to Croyde! The beach was stunning - plenty to do with lovely sand, surf school, fabulous waves and brilliant rock pools. We stayed longer than expected. We parked in the car park as you enter Croyde - quieter and more reasonably...More

A lovely little village centre, but a bit of a pain to drive through if you have a large vehicle luckily we only had a car.

I haven't been to this area for 25 years but it hasn't failed to deliver. A lovely clean wide beach with the right level of surf so everyone can enjoy. My boys and I have loved several days here and will be coming back.

A lovely beach in a sheltered cove. Very popular with surfers and body borders. Croyde is not the easiest place to drive through in the middle of the holiday season, but worth the effort. Parking expensive with £7 a day being the average. Fine if...More

Lovely village, narrow roads through the main strip! Very popular with surfers as the waves are perfect, great rock pools and good sand! Toilets are typical beach side, don’t sit down too long! £7 for parking, cash only, make a day of it to make...More

It's bad enough out of season, I would first ask who you're renting from. Then I would try the local tourist information as I know they do weekly passes, then you can park at any car park your permit allows when you out and... More

Not sure about the dogs. But there are lots of camping and caravan sites with loads facilities. Ruda bay has glamming camping with club house swimming pool etc but more quiet sites every few miles.
