Croyde Bay – is very similar to Woolacombe but on a smaller scale. Another perfect sandy beach with rock pools and dunes half a mile out of the village. The area is surrounded by fields (lambs in residence this April) with walking trails to Woolacombe...More

lovely little village with pubs, post office and store. We had an ice cream from the little ice cream bar and sat on the wall adjacent to it and watched the world go by . worth a visit.

Croyde village is great for beach holidays, with good public houses & restaurants with small shops. The beach is the obvious plus for the village, there are reasonably priced campsites around

With nearby Woolacombe receiving much of the praise,Croyde is equally wonderful with an excellent flat sandy beach. The village is picture postcard perfect with plenty of little independent shops and tearooms/cafes. There are so many lovely places to visit in North Devon and this is yet another one of those. Beautiful beach and huge when the tide is out, loads of rock pools to explore and surfing, just superb.

Lovely beach, and lots of people using it, but we have two dogs and were not permitted on the beach. I would like to have gone on the beach maybe after 6pm.

The beach is a lot smaller than nearby Wollacombe, but there was plenty of room on a sunny Sunday in late May. Tide goes out a long way! Toilets at the beach entrance and though parking is limited, it is available. There are volleyball nets...More
