Wanted to check out the trails and ended up walking about 5 miles of trails. The trails were shaded and many going along the water. There were several places to sit and enjoy the views of Mountain Island Lake. There are equestrian trails, an access...More

We use the lake access for kayaking and it's easy to access and put-in for everyone. It's in a nice cove and the other areas are fun for stopping on the way in or out.

Nice little spot with a lot of local history. It speaks to how our ancestors lived and farmed. It only takes an hour or so for the tour.

We visited just the Plantation. The setting is very simple and rustic. There is a small museum and gift shop, the main plantation house, some out buildings and a few animals. Nothing fancy. We had an hour before our tour of the plantation house and...More

Before going to Latta Plantation the is a possibility for some walking trails about half a mile before the Plantation site. Several trails are discribed at the start. Maybe better if the distance was mentioned.
