Right of the highway, easy to get to. We went after a 4+ hour mountain hike and it was really amazing. I grew up in Buffalo NY and I've been to Niagara Falls a few hundred times, so I don't impress easy when I see...More

A great day trip. We drive up to North Carolina to excape from the heat during summer. Scenic and cool to be able to walk behind the waterfall.

Stopped on our way back to hotel and was really suprised how much fun this short walk would be. There is an area for handicap to see the view and it only took about 5 minutes to walk down. You even got to walk under...More

This is a steep walk down, then up a mountain, but if can physically do it, it's worth the effort. Take your time. The falls were absolutely stunning.

This is a 'must do' on your vacation to Highlands NC. The waterfalls are thundering and you are under them and dangerously close. Do not miss visiting this landmark!

Dry falls is quite stunning, Very much like Amicolola Falls in GA; but you can see the falls from three sides! Left, right and under the falls.. Lots of stairs, so wear comfortable shoes. Would go back in a heartbeat.

This waterfall is right off main road. Easy walk down to falls. Very pretty and very clean. Not as impressive as some but still quite beautiful

Don't miss this one and if you can't find a parking space keep trying because it is well worth the trouble. Yes parking here is a problem but in the gorge there is just not a lot of room. This very popular falls is a...More

Fun! Just park and walk down to a really gorgeous waterfall you can walk under! It is not handicap accessible.

Dry Falls was so named because you can walk under it and not get soaked - except when it's been a very wet spring. It's always a little damp, but the falls were raging. Some visitors wore bathing suits in anticipation of getting more than...More

Yes correct there is an area at the top that is accessible, but the path down in places steep and wet, and has several sections of stairs.

You wouldn’t be able to swim here. This is a pretty rapid water fall. It feeds a rapid and rocky river as well. Maybe you could in the lake above, but it seems like it was more of a private area. The appeal here is you can... More
