This small museum begins with dinosaurs and ends in present day South Carolina. The collection is appropriately displayed and labeled. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, there is a section devoted to Andre the Giant, who lives here in Ellerbe.

This was our second visit, this time taking our 10-year-old grandson and it is well worth a visit. The collection of artifacts is varied and most folks will find something of interest to view. Our grandson asked to go to a museum and we chose this one as it is big enough to be interesting but not so big you have to spend all day, we spent about 2 hours. If you are a wrestling fan or love Princess Bride, the fact that they have Andre the Giant memorabilia adds to the mix of fun stuff to see.

What an amazing museum. So much history in 1 museum. The dedication to Andre the Giant was very moving.

Very pleasantly surprised. Was a private collection but now a small museum. It's eclectic from a room with Andre The Giant memorabilia (he owned a farm in Ellerbe) to Native American artifacts, geological exhibit and even a 700 year old canoe. We found it fun and engaging. About 4 bucks to get in.

I went to Ellerbe on an Andre the Giant quest, but was really surprised at the history, artifacts, and exhibits packed into this small town museum.
