We climbed all the way up to see the 360 degrees view. It was totally worth the climb! There were some displays to learn about the light house, which were very interesting.

I know Hatteras and Bodie are famous, but this was actually my favorite lighthouse...It’s more natural looking with all the bricks that went into the making of this beauty...The grounds are so clean and well cared for, a really cool little shop with everything Currituck...More

Love lighthouses and this one expands the love ! See ocean and sound views. And it is made of bricks Last time I went up was probably 20 years ago and there were wild horses in pasture at the bottom A real treat!

If you are in Corolla, do not miss the Red Light house. Different then the other OBX light houses. It is in the shade. Very nice grounds. Great pictures. There is a fee to go up. They also have a very good gift shop for...More

The view from the top is very nice. You can see both coasts and quite a long way down the islands in both directions. The climb is not too hard but some people might need to rest along the way. People with walking difficulty probably...More

We love the lighthouse. We have walked up it before, didn't get to on this trip because of health issues. Beautiful view from the top. It's peaceful, quiet at the lighthouse area. We enjoy the gift shop also. Love the interior of the lighthouse and...More

Visited historical Currituck Beach Lighthouse this week. Family trip with my daughter and grandparents. Grounds are beautiful and well cared for. Definitely take the climb to the top. 360 degree views are impressive. The construction and engineering are sure to excite any history buff. Plenty...More

This has always been my favorite lighthouse of the Fab Four in the OBX (the George Harrison of lighthouses for those keeping the Liverpudlian metaphor). It's in a wooded area quite a distance from the beach...has a very big shop in antique quarters nearby...climbable... Historic...More

This was amazing to see if you like this kind of things. The history of this was amazing to see. It is a must see for the lighthouse lovers.

The grounds here are shaded and gorgeous. And this lighthouse is unique in that it retains it's original brick exterior (vs. white outer plaster like the others). It's near the Whalehouse as well, and I would recommend hitting both if you're up that way --...More

In total about 10-20 minutes. It takes about 10 minutes to climb and the view from the top takes about 10 minutes depending upon how long you want to stay. It’s a self-guided tour. I would say 30 minutes maximum.

Adults cost $10, however if you just want to go inside and take a photo looking up at the spiral stairway there is no cost.
