AMAZING!!!! It is absolutely stunning. You can just sit on one of the picnic benches eating lunch, with quokka's around you while the waves roll in. I went in winter and I would still recommend.

I visited this place in the year 2015 during a school exchange program during November, and went for a dip in the basin along with my friends which I consider as family, and the memory of it never fade even a bit until this day!...More

People were enjoying the beach, while others were walking. However, the Basin is unique. The color of the ocean is light blue. It is peaceful and nothing can disturb us while swimming. It was cool! It was perfectly calm.

Beautiful is a cliche for describing places on Rottnest but, The Basin is is! Inviting clear waters and golden sands, idyllic. Especially as out of season and fantastic weather.

A lovely place to go snorkelling and for a swim. White clean sand, beautiful rock pools and a peaceful location.

Took our face masks and found some lovely little and big shells near the rocks. Toilet area there to change and picnic tables to sit and relax. Abit rocky in areas so be careful of the slippy bits.

Fab little place to get into the water with snorkel. Easy access, close to shore and great for kids. Lots of fish to see.
