Reaction by customer service person was very nice disappointing, and shame to treat tourists like this!

Essential to visit for the history, location & underground experience. To hear & see the tunnels, equipment & how the personnel lived & worked was an eye opener.

We were looking forward to our tour of the tunnels etc. When we got there we found out there was no tour because there were no lights in the tunnels. The voluntary staff at the Oliver Hill battery were not at all helpful and in...More

When we arrived it was just the four of us so we were lucky enough to have our own guided tour with Rob who was very informative. We didn’t realise these tunnels existed on the island so if you have a chance go check it...More

The battery is well preserved, and the info boards are helpful in explaining what you’re seeing and it’s significance. We rode bikes to the site; it asks you to park them at the bottom of the hill and walk up because the hill is so...More

It’s amazing what they built, with the equipment they had. Fasanating story about Australia’s defences. Tour was very knowledgeable, Murriell, she had been doing it for 18 years and still had passion about the place. If your a history/war person, take a look.

After pedalling to the top only to discover we the current tour was full and we would have to wait another hour, we came to the disappointing resolution that we’d be heading back. However, thanks to the two tour guides on deck they managed to...More

A very interesting place to visit. I walked there but you can get a train, it would "take the strain". You could not be impressed by the sheer size of them, and their incredible range. A fascinating piece of recent history on an island steeped...More

If there is only one thing you do on the island this has to be it. From the views to the amazing underground tour this is definitely a must do activity. We were lucky enough on the day to get a private tour and our...More
